For certain reasons, you might sometimes find it difficult to locate your old or new flight missions within the waypoint folder of your DJI RC 1. This happens because the mission filenames in that folder consist of random strings of numbers and characters. Since the DJI RC 1 controller does not support the ‘SMART EXPORT’ feature from Litchi Hub, it can be very frustrating—especially if you have more than 10 flight missions and want to update them, but have forgotten which filename corresponds to which mission.
Here are some TIPS from me:
-
Note down all folder names inside the waypoint directory of your internal SD card. If you have many waypoints, copy them into a backup folder and name it ‘UNMODIFIED MISSIONS’.
-
Cross-reference and copy-paste the mission names created in Litchi Hub with the raw waypoint files located in your ‘UNMODIFIED MISSIONS’ folder.
-
Create a reminder label in a Notepad file to keep track of your specific flight missions and their corresponding random filenames.
-
Verify the filenames by comparing your notepad list with the waypoint folder on your remote’s internal storage. This way, when you want to create or update a mission, you can easily identify which files are already updated and which are not."
And there is a rather ridiculous workaround for users who cannot use the SMART EXPORT feature in Litchi Hub:
-
You can create a random mission directly on your remote, then save and rename that file within the remote itself.
-
Next, copy that raw mission and follow the manual Litchi Hub procedures found on the forums. Once you finish overwriting the KMZ file, the mission name will stay exactly the same, so you won’t have the headache of searching for it again. BUT! This must be done one by one, because you will get confused if you create too many random (raw) flight missions at once."
