Gradual Height Gain?

Is there a way to have the height gradually increase when flying between waypoints such as if I have one waypoint to 100ft height and the next set to 200ft height instead of flying flat to the next waypoint then ascending? This is most important when using Above Ground setting when for example the second waypoint is 100ft above a 200ft high hill. Hoppe that makes sense.

Thanks. I must be doing something wrong. Trying to understand how Above Ground works. Found the related article helpful but one part at the end left me confused. Still learning this great app.
